Overview
01 — OverviewFiber cement board is a multipurpose building board made from a blend of cement and cellulose fibre, with A1 reaction to fire to EN 13501-1. Its natural colour is a soft cream that comes from its raw materials. It is offered with a smooth face, calibrated Flat and fine Line sanded surfaces, and a range of decorative textures.
On the exterior it is installed with mechanical fixings on ventilated-facade principles. It protects buildings from adverse weather, contributes to thermal and sound insulation, and improves energy efficiency. It is lightweight and long-lasting, which makes it ideal for renovation work, and a reinforced Pro grade and a dedicated roof sheathing board extend the range.
Inside, it serves as partition, shaft and fire walls, as a floor and mezzanine board, as a ceiling, and as a substrate under ceramic tiles in wet areas. It can be finished with paint, surface coatings or wallpaper, and it is more impact-resistant than gypsum-based boards.
