Overview
01 — OverviewS-Ext exterior decorative panels are compact high-pressure laminate (HPL) boards made for building envelopes. Their surface is treated to resist UV radiation, dirt, bacteria and impact, so a facade keeps its colour and finish in demanding outdoor conditions with very little maintenance. The smooth, seamless and non-porous face gives dirt little to hold on to and is easy to wipe clean.
Impregnated kraft papers are pressed with decorative papers under high pressure and temperature. Two surface technologies are available: EBC (Electron Beam Curing) panels for horizontal and vertical use, and S-UV+ panels with a special UV film for sun-exposed vertical facades. The panels stay easy to cut, drill and engrave, while resisting bending, cracking and scratching as well as sunlight, heat, moisture and atmospheric chemicals.
Panels are supplied as 1300 × 2800 mm and 1300 × 3050 mm sheets, with selected S-UV+ decors also in 1860 × 4200 mm, in thicknesses from 4 to 22 mm. A fire-retardant grade (EDF) is available on request. The surfaces contain no asbestos, chlorine or heavy metals, kraft papers come from FSC-certified producers, and the range carries a 10-year warranty.
Surface technologies
Two surface technologies share the same high-pressure compact core: choose by orientation, decor family and sun exposure.
Performance
- 01
Water repellent
A closed, non-porous face sheds water; boiling-water and wet-condition tests stay at the top rating, level 5.
- 02
Easy to clean
The smooth, seamless surface resists dirt build-up and cleans with a soft cloth and mild soap.
- 03
Dry heat resistance
Rated level 5 for resistance to dry heat at 180 °C (EN 438-2, section 16).
- 04
Heat & cold resistance
Withstands repeated transitions between heat and cold; climatic-shock testing keeps appearance at level 5.
- 05
Low light reflectivity
A calm, low-glare surface that reads evenly across a facade in direct sun.
- 06
Chemical resistance
Resists household chemicals and atmospheric pollutants, including SO₂ acid-rain cycles (DIN 50018).
- 07
Scratch & abrasion resistance
Scratch resistance above 6 N and a wear value of 400 revolutions (EN 438-2).
- 08
Impact resistance
No cracking under the large-ball impact test from 1800 mm for panels 6 mm and thicker.
- 09
Ultra colour intensity
Deep, saturated colours that hold after 3000 hours of UV and artificial weathering tests.

- Mind the weight and height of the sheets when handling.
- Store sheets flat, parallel to the ground and aligned with each other. Never store vertically.
- Keep panels in dry, clean conditions, away from humid environments.
- Protect from sun and UV in closed areas. A tarp in open air is not sufficient.
- Clean with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and a mild soap solution; never use rotating brushes, strong acids, alkalis or solvents.
