Ridge ventilation & fixing

Dry ridge or mortar-bedded ridge

Ridge ventilation & fixing
Roofing Tiles — Ridge ventilation & fixing
01 — Overview

Overview

Mahyaser Plus is a vapour- and air-open under-ridge roll with a textile-reinforced, all-aluminium top surface. Its wide central gusset ventilates the ridge and stretches between 29 and 32 cm to fit different ridge widths, while corrugated edges with butyl strips bond to every tile shape. Mahyaser is the bitumen-strip version for the same dry-ridge detail.

For bedded ridges, Ridge Mounting Mortar is a cement-based, fibre-reinforced mortar in a tile-matching colour. Its bond strength is more than twice the TSE requirement, it does not crack with heat and cold, and it stays workable for an hour after mixing.

The system is completed by ridge ventilation caps, verge caps, ridge tile clips (1.6 × 13 cm) and ridge batten brackets (5 × 5 cm, at 80 cm centres).
