Overview
Classic 1 is the profile most people picture when they think of a clay tile. Its easy laying and dependable cover have made it the most widely used model for decades, and it has proven itself under harsh cold-climate conditions.
Micronised clay gives it high strength and a smooth surface. Laid staggered, the tile protects roofs of any length against leaks; the renewed profile remains compatible with existing tiles when roofs are partly replaced.
Performance
- 01
Wide channels
Easy drainage, with interlocks that keep the joints watertight.
- 02
Raised nail hole
In staggered laying the top-left hole is used, away from the water path; in straight laying the centre hole.
- 03
Fitting tolerance
2 cm vertical and 2.5 cm horizontal play in the locks eases installation.
- 04
Smooth surface
Dust and dirt find it hard to settle.
- 05
Re-roofing
Compatible with existing old tiles when roofs are renewed.
Applications
- Houses and villas
- Housing developments
- Historic buildings
- Re-roofing
